ISO 10511 is a low hexagon nut with a non-metallic clamping part. This non-metallic clamping part is a polyamide ring that has been pressed with the nut and whose inner diameter is smaller than the thread diameter in order to achieve a clamping effect.
These nuts are used when a "normal" high nut cannot be used for space reasons and it must be self-locking but still be possible to loosen it again. These nuts are available from M3 to M36.
